1) Status of Working Group
- Given apparent decreased energy in the WG over the last few months, and events in the industry, should the WG continue?
5) IIW 12 reflections
- http://iiw.idcommons.com/IIW#12_Notes
- Google "Account Chooser": http://iiw.idcommons.com/Beyond_the_NASCAR_UI_Google%E2%80%99s_Account_Chooser
- Google Identity Toolkit: http://iiw.idcommons.com/Packaging_RP_Best_Practices:_Google_Identity_Toolkit
- Axel's OpenID for Firefox4 addon: http://iiw.idcommons.com/Identity_in_the_Browser:_Open_ID_for_FirefoxOrange made a high level description of the business approach that could drive additional work in the ULX WG
Discussion has taken place around:
- business approach: adoption is key around the ISA concept to extend the market of adressable RPs. SImilarities from an ISA to another ISA should help RPs to adopt ISAs, either in protocols, UI, functions, Claims/Metadata... UI has been treated recently in ULX WG
- presence of ISA actors in the ULX WG
- Google, Janrain, Gigya, Discojuice or others are not actually in the ULX group
- traction to standardize things between actors
- No really traction is seen for a standardization
- Need to have a common vocabulary at least between RP and ISA
- generic vocabulary of claims/metadata ?
- At least for the RP to express to the ISA what kind of IdPs are "accepted" to authenticate users
- but some other ISA players are needed in the group to agree on it
- Needs to standardize things between ISA and IdPs ?
- Doesn't seem a priority for all participants
- Privacy
- Point to take into consideration. Privacy is today out of the scope of ULX WG
After discussions and the meeting, a suggestion has been made to see the opportunity to write a white paper on a) what has been done until now, b) where we are at and c) what is ahead
6) Next calls:
- Next call: Monday June 20 (or 27 ?) 2011
