- 5% of the External Funds will be collected by the Kantara Initiative as an administrative handling fee.
- If the External Funds collected are not exhausted by the activity specified by the Group, the remaining amount will be reallocated to the Kantara Initiative general account for redistribution.
- External Funders are encouraged to express their interest in various Kantara activities, but they cannot direct their contributions to specific activities.
- While funding (internal and external) for specific activities is allocated for use at the discretion of the Kantara Initiative Leadership Council and Board of Trustees, it is understood that it is in the best interests for the health of the organization, Group activities, programs, and community for all expectations to be metto work toward meeting the expectations of an External Funder.
- If a Participant of the Group sponsoring the activity is interested in receiving some of the External Funds, he/she must recuse him/herself from votes relating to the activity.
