Updates

  • Keep up with Kantara (July) is focused around IDESG transition
  • Summer Webinars Series: Australian Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) Framework on August 16th and MDAV Phase 3 on August 21st, as Lockstep Project, a performer of KIPI is in the final stages before commercialization Kantara believes it was a good opportunity to share this work and product with the membership and community.
  • Event in Helsinki My Data Conference. KI Expanded scope to include personal data for identity it´s the fist non profit that is doing that, which is following a trend seen in ISO.
  • October Member Plenary, 3 time-slot, Andrew encouraged IAWG participants to suggest topics for the meeting.  More info: https://kantarainitiative.org/events/?event_id1=8135
  • LC update: All groups are in Summer schedule. Consent Information Work Group doing the Consent Receipt specifications and plan to do the interop demo app at My Data Conference. Consent Management Work Group is developing surveys to companies that do consent management in order to get key data. UMA continues to be strong, they are looking at the legal and licensing recommendation for data sharing.

IDESG-KI amalgamation

  • June 25th PR https://kantarainitiative.org/7956-2/
  • IDESG had a grant funding from NIST for a considerable period but came to an end. IDEF Registry has 10 service providers that are self attested. There was a mapping done between IDEF v.1 and KI based on 800-63-2.
  • Transition of IDESG committees to IDEF WGs in Kantara. The are some ideas on how to include IDESG into KI WGs, a) IDESG becomes a Subgroup of IAWG group or b) they do something of their own. There are conflicting issues and dynamics we have to work on.
  • They could develop the work separately but we would need a close coordination between IDESG WG and IAWG. In the future we may need to create a Coordinator Group that coordinates all the Trust Frameworks.
