Question about IAWG attendeance in Paris and it looks like there is some doubt as to how many will attend in Paris
CFP - There is no response on the call for papers but there is the idea for the Privacy Management Framework to be submitted for the Privacy Paper Call,
Abbie: Discusses a new initiative from the Whitehouse being announces - P3 should contribute prvacy principle inputs with cyber-identity issues, there was no detail on how to protect the privacy of an individual. Although this new sub-committee (Abbie will be involved in ) Abbie will pass the documents to the group and be able to forqwad the P3 participation.
Item: update on EMMA - Robin presented on behalf of Kantara and Abbie presented on Identity in the Cloud
Item: Trent update on the Privacy Module.
Re- New Tittle: privacy module to a Privacy Framework Whitepaper
- Role this in to the framework discussion with Mark Privacy Framework
- Christine Runnegar has now joined this sub-committee as a policy/legal expert
- Discussing the potential of how this framework can be delivered for the OECD discussions this year, the outcome of this paper could have a very signifcant impact on the OECD guidelines.
- Plan is to draft a whitepaper to get to the P3 wg body as a whole to be approved for conrete input to present to OECD, this can also work for the workshop that Abbie mentioned
- Put it into the P3 to be approved as a P3 report to be submitted to the OECD for concrete input to the OECD and presentation to the workshop that will raise the profile of P3 and Kantara as a voice and expertise in idenity and privacy.
- Question about what the content of this project is about: Trent ran through the history as this as a module was not suitable for the IAWG, So this has lead to a broader privacy framework whitepaper. A whitepaper that describes the necessity for a privacy framework.   Essentially a sales pitch for a privacy framework 5-10pg paper that will have what a privacy framework should be what should be included for a privacy framework.
Item: Abbie: Privacy Management Reference
Discussing P3 becoming a member of OASIS as there is a position, discussion to be taken offline.
Action: Abbie to send around a link to the ISACC to Mark and Susan. We have open participation call to be involved in the management of privacy
Item; SC27: Not much feedback
Item : Report to set up an official relationship with the ITU-T.. 3 specifications from Kantara are going to the ITU-T
ITEM: Stanadard Privacy Policy - Think this was confused with the Standard Agreement from the ISWG - This Item is awaiting some funding.
ITEM: Colin Souter: General Privacy Principles from the Privacy Framework would be a greaat annex to the IAWG document which has focused on so far it has focused on the ICAM requirements, IAF privacy framework would be a generallize informative annex to the IAF. The Privacy Framework can fit in with the work from the IAWF as an annex
Call for participation in the ID-V
6. c Collaboration w/IAWG on LOA and Privacy Agreements/Privacy Module white paper (Colin S)
Colin S - supplmentating the work with the IAF with the IAWG - Privacy framework with be the global privacy principles that effect...Â
Colin asking Lindi if this fits in with the NZ - balancing the risk with the identity verification process.
Lindi offering to send link to list. NZ document does have an identity management standard.
Yes it would be very interesting in what is going on with NASPO,
Action Item: Abbie to provide overview on NASPO/ID-VÂ
Lindi - talks about the standard balancing the risk of authentication and verification intrusiveness with privacy - several levels of risk that you can work your way into assessing. THe strength of recommended verificaiton is tied to that.
