Non-chrome Login Button

Abstract

This document is a product of the Universal Login Experience Work Group. It records our experimentation with the idea of a non-chrome (i.e. not part of the browser chrome) universal login button.

Non-chrome login button as displayed by id-enabled browser

First attempt at a button is shown below. We're showing is how the non-chrome button (the one in the middle of the Web page) is visually similar to the in-chrome button. Most users (using unmodified browsers) will only see the non-chrome button. Only users with an id-enabled browser will see both.
