  • Mark King commented about a Jerry Fishenden paper 'Federated Identity for Access to UK Public Services: 1997–2020' that may be of IAWG interest: https://ntouk.files.wordpress.com/2020/06/federated-identity-for-access-to-uk-public-services-1997-2020-jerry-fishenden-1.pdf. Moreover, he mentioned that a British Standard, 'BS 8626 Design and operation of online user identification systems – Code of practice' is available for public comment until August 31st, available at the BSI website here: https://standardsdevelopment.bsigroup.com/projects/2018-01712#/section. He stressed that it is only guidance and that ; he is preparing comments in relation to the significant gaps he founded on the standard. He suggested that the New Zealand standards would be more pertinent to review rather than the British standard.  clarified that BSI is equivalent to ANSI in the US. IAWG agreed not to comment on the British Standard #8626.
