Confluence Common Issues
Two of the most common issues we hear from WG participants are not being able to add/edit in a specific Wiki Space and not being able to log in. This page offers information to solve various log-in and access issues.
Reminder: To formally join a Work or Discussion Group and gain access (even basic/view) to the Kantara Wiki, a GPA must be completed. If you have not completed one, please click here to do so. A GPA must be completed for each Group!
Problem | Solution |
---|---|
Not being logged-in - Often, users are not actually logged in to Confluence. | Click here and look for the “door” in the upper right hand corner |
No Confluence account - Kantara does not automatically set up users with a Confluence account. This is initiated by the user after the GPA is processed by staff. | Click here for instructions to create your Confluence account. |
Confluence account deactivated - Have you logged in within 30 days? If not, your account may have been automatically deactivated. | Email staff with your Confluence user name/email credentials to request reactivation of your account. |
Not using the right email - Please make sure you are using the email credentials used when you originally created your account. | Email staff if you are not sure of your log-in details. |
Not being connected to the correct Wiki space - Please make sure: 1. You have completed a GPA for the space you are seeking access to 2. You have created a Confluence account. |

Page/Space is marked “Private” or “Invite-Only” - Occasionally, some pages have restricted access. | Email staff for support. Include your email credentials for Confluence, the page URL you are trying to access, and any relevant screenshots/messages. |
