ANCR WG continues the effort for over 5 years at Kantara on the Consent Receipt, now incorporated into ISO/IEC 29184 Online privacy notices and consent with updated specification for the Consent Receipt, including a specification for 2 Factor Consent Notice (2FCN) as well as the publication of Transparency Performance Indicators (TPIs).

The workgroup has submitted comments to the Federal Trade Commission on its Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Commercial Surveillance and Data Security advocating for the use of 2FN, and how it is much like the process the FTC itself is going through to make rules and that the same should apply on the internet and that notices and receipts provide co-governance and a kind of enforcement innovation through transparency in the notice.

The TPIs are associated with an Open Notice Controller credential that people can make that is specified from the core of the Consent Receipt V1.1 to  CoE Convention 108+, GDPR, and ISO/IEC 29184 Online privacy notice and consent

The ANCR WG specifications measure digital transparency performance and record it in a notice credential for a personal record of digital privacy.  These are used  to implement law is code transparency that supersede ‘terms and conditions’, ‘user licenses’, ‘privacy policies’ and ‘data sharing agreements’.
