Carmen Smiley replied to Tom Jones about the CMS timeline (Covid delayed) to provide data to Hospitals]. It specifically applies to states. is there a good chance at least the dates will apply to hospitals? install complete 2021-01-01 enforcement starts 2021-07-01? I collected the data I thought was interesting here.

https://wiki.idesg.org/wiki/index.php/Native_Apps_for_US_Healthcare#Context (Also see attachment) Is there anything you (or anyone else) would change or add on that page? The one thing that your committee could (should) entertain is providing guidance about the third-party application registration process as I don't see anyone else doing that now.

Martin Smith (Unlicensed) asks if Colin could include in his presentation a clarification that apps (products) should be certified (vs. "developers.") Carmen says that is in fact the intent of the language. Group goes on to discuss idea of a real-time registry of certified products. Agreed that this is desirable and KI might develop such a service if funding can be identified.

Tom Jones discusses Native Apps. per link in agenda. "Native apps" are often crappy. Need SAC developed as a basis for certification of medical apps. Certification process would generally look like current IAWG/ARB process for certifying conformance with Kantara IAF, but would add registry to support real-time trustworthy certification of conformance with the app SAC for medical apps.

20 minsHIAWG input for Colin's presentation to ONC on Aug 31, and other submissions related to HHS/ONC report to Congress on patient identifiers.

Tom Jones  emailed to the list a draft paper before the meeting.

Former user (Deleted) displays several minor edits to Tom Jones / Former user (Deleted) and group reviews draft, in anticipation of submission to ONC. Decision. Tom J and Cath. S will revise in light of discussion and circulate and then submit to ONC.

Mari S.-- PatientIDnow.org - coalition to remove ban on national medical identifier. No cost to join. Andrew, Dir of Fed Affairs-- since March with CHIME. Resource to support ONC in gathering info on patient identity issues.

Former user (Deleted) suggests replacing current CHIME Website use of the term  "patient matching" with something like "linking" or "securely connecting" to avoid negative privacy connotations.
