Discussion

  • Discussion focused on the specific comments received by the editor - notes are in the Comment Disposition documentation

  • ACTION: Andrew to get all IAWG-approved SAC Changes to Wilsher for inclusion in SAC version

  • Note that many of the comments about "US Centricity" (e.g. US FIPS 140-2) are valid, but the purpose of this SAC revision was to align with SP800-63-2. So, perhaps in future revisions, a broader reference to other National standards might be included, but at this time if FIPS is removed, it will likely weaken the criteria noted

  • Lengthy discussion on remote ID Proofing and evidence of identity / photo ID / ability to validate DLs. 800-63 is imperfect, SAC are imperfect.
