Background
At the LC meeting in Oct. 2010 in Paris there was a discussion about Kantara's memberships, market awareness and similar topics related to the success of Kantara. A result of this thread was the conclusion, that to sell KI's frameworks & services business cases need to be defined, documented and used in the communication to potential members. To help on this the BCTF DG was initiated.
Scope
Business Cases that use Trust Federations in the sense of the various constellations described in Identity Federation Constellations and Use Case Overview.
Goals
A Project Overview
Provide a list of existing Trust Federations established as a business, national or international program in various stages like planning, piloting or production.
B Business Case Abstraction
- Describe existing and expected business cases on an abstract level
- Construct a set of categories useful for the classification of projects, like: "national eID program", industry type, transaction-type (B2B, B2C, academic), infrastructure type (PKI vs. "non-PKI")
