Agenda

The agenda is to discuss a Project Plan that will serve as a basic presentation and "talking points" for use in approaching potential funders, volunteer Subject Matter Experts, and others who may want to join the WG as a participant.  The Project Plan describes the problem we are trying to address by undertaking work that will lead (provided sufficient resources are available) to a series of whitepaper deliverables. The Plan also outlines some of the issues to be addressed, as well as methodology.  This is the first of two planned meetings on this topic.

Key hurdles to widespread deployment of an "identity layer" for the Internet are not mainy technical

Two key issues are liability issues for identity providers and trust frameworks, as well as usability of identity technologies by consumers

Need to understand what is involved with implementation and rollout of this identity layer
