Staff:

Agenda:

  1. Roll Call — meeting established as non quorate
  2. Previous meeting minutes [07-07-2010] cannot be approved.http://kantarainitiative.org/confluence/display/idassurance/IAWG+Bi-Weekly+Meeting+Minutes+-+2010-07-07
  3. ISO Liason Review: Frank reviewed Patrick's email on the call---to confirm, this is a LC liaison not a work group liaison. Patrick remains IAWG - ISO liason to keep finger on the pulse for the group. As a member of SC27 Panel 5,  he will attend nat'l body meeting to review latest drafts [UK, AUGUST]
    1. This liaison assists KI in getting adequate visibility into what's going on. Reciprocally, ISO needs to be aware of KI's roll and extent to which KI is a change agent. Adequate International coordination needed beyond just crafting documentation and papers. KI is a vehicle in facilitating that.
    2. KI needs to:
[a.] have a road map of what it wants to do and when?
[b.] What is it that KI wants from "us", meaning govt. ?
[c.] How can we as a gov contribute to ki in a way that is reciprocol.???
    3. This group must produce something in short order, to define and maintain it's position as a leader in the community.
    4. NEIL to share the link / " EU roadmap" he submitted to IRB :
      http://ec.europa.eu/information_society/digital-agenda/documents/digital-agenda-communication-en.pdf
    5. KI Roadmap and Visibility: KI needs to start a more coordinated outreach to develop bilateral relationships in high assurance space.
    6. ACTION ITEM 20100728-01 JONI/FRANK: define set of targets to strategize as to how to engage. Need to develop a roadmap!
    7. David response: [a.] KI activity is fueled by small number of people so go big or go home approach may be unrealistic logistically. [b.] KI should be considering what Govts. want vs what commercial entities want....?
    8. Patrick:
It seems the focus has been on US, CA and UK... would like to cherry pick some other EU nations---specifically approach the French and Dutch Govts. But we must have a value proposition for them., ie.: distilled topics, identified targets.
  4. Review comments received re: IAF Federation Operator Guidelines & IAF US Federal Privacy Profile
Time not permitting a review of this agenda item. WG will pick up on the next call. In the interim, Rich will review the submitted comments against the FOG.
  5. IASWG-HIAWG -IAWG Liaison
Time not permitting a review of this agenda item. Intent:  the IAS WG were looking to IA WG and Concordia DG for feedback and input on their use case submissions thus far.  These use cases will be presented at the Burton Conf workshop so feedback is probably now moot. Longer term, the IAS WG are keen to make IA & Concordia aware of their efforts and work - hoping to avoid too much overlap with groups.
