Organizational Update
Executive Director and Staff Report	For my ED report we have had been asked to speak at several conferences including Identiverse, EIC, and Identity Week America. At all of those we will have a chance to present an update on what Kantara is doing. So we really need updates and reports from each work group for all of those conferences. Thanks for your help! If you are attending any of these conferences please let me know. Would love to include you to talk about your work and your plans! We continue to work with the CARIN Alliance in their Proof of Concept pilot and their work in the healthcare industry and with ONC. Looking at new projects such as NIEM OPEN with OASIS and the US Dept of Defense. Jim Pasquale has the lead and I’m trying to support him. The assurance programs in the US and the UK continue to grow. Growth is slower in the UK but continues. DCMS has now moved to the Dept. Of Science, Innovation, and Technology (DSIT). Hannah Rutter tells me it’s a positive move and signals approval by the Prime Minister of this work. And of course working with several federal agencies in a variety of ways including meeting with most at least monthly.

Proposals for new groups	NIEM and OASIS, the need? to have an 'identity management' domain as a NIEM schema/namespace NIEM already has biometric and 'identification' schemas Kantara goal: host the open working group for the identity management development and contribute it to OASIS for standardization Looking for participants, ask back to NIEM to who they expected/wanted to join
