Minutes
1. Attendance
We noted that 2 people were voting members and the group met quorum.
2. Motions
A. Motion to approve minutes from 2012.05.08. Unanimously APPROVED.
3. Prior Action Item Review
- Iain: blog about Kickstarter
- Joe: Quarterly Report
- Iain: Flag the standard label up to the UK equivalent of NSTIC
- Everyone: Promote Kickstarter
- Joe: Update the spec (after PII)
4. Old Business
PII
PDRL
Kickstarter
More outreach. Kaliya blog post. Upcoming badges for supporters.
Standard Label Specification. Need to talk with Eve. She offered help on the spec and suggested some folks at IETF. Our charter says OASIS, but what if IETF is the right party? With the Label, we're either replacing/updating P3P or competing with it. We should look at that more closely.
UK NSTIC (Internet of Things project)
5. New Business
Maciej (Umanitarian) has reached out to Iain to coordinate collaboration with UMA. Â So, let's figure out how we do that.
6. Kickstarter Project
Kickstarter is live.

Joe Blog Post
PII
Conversations with Microsoft and others about what it would take to get them to use the label. Â This is a good mechanism for the next stage. Â The label isn't good enough without use, so let's get those sites in place.
Also, the idea of a plug-in for third-party Label development (instead of requiring the Data Recipient to specify it, a third party could do so).
Promotional to-do
- More Blog posts!
- Talk at Pesci (Fishbon, here in Santa Barbara)
- Twitter & Facebook promos
- WEF & PDRL Outreach
- PEDEC
7. Standard Information Sharing Label
First draft of the specification is live.
http://kantarainitiative.org/confluence/display/infosharing/Standard+Information+Sharing+Label
A few terms were suggested at IIW: where & redistribution.
Next up: more standard terms and a data profile for RDFa or some other mechanism for machine readable terms.
Can we leverage the P3P work (Lorrie Cranor & Melissa Cooper)?
