ONC grant application process update

Waiting for internal approval to forward to ONC

Mobile Drivers License (mDL) and specific security criteria that  would relate to healthcare and Federal government agencies.

Tom has been putting some effort into the mDL idea and will share with the group,  ONC put a request for comments on whether you can use a mDL to get on an aircraft

What core standards, principles or functional criteria  would you want embedded into your personal drivers license that would benefit you interfacing with a hospital or government agency?

Comments:

Noreen: law enforcement access? And other government officials.(sovereign access)

Bev: wonder why there isn’t a way to change your social security or mobile drivers license number (redress, resilience)

Tom: selective release, based on requirements (cop, government official, government security, TSA)

Tom: privacy by sovereign entities selling our data (Texas does it, Florida dmv recently stopped selling data)

Data by access types: vision, name, description, photo, 

Context: in car, public health, access to public property

(Do we want to be able to limit this list, or rely on states?)
