Mobile Drivers License as credential for healthcare use case (ISO 18023-5)

• Tom: VA has 18 different state IDs that can be accessed via AAMVA, so he wants to do a separate use case. AAMVA may add requirements beyond the ISO standard. (https://www.aamva.org/Driver-Licensing-Identification/)

  • Issues: no standard “wallet” yet, not all states working on it yet

  • Could tie into MAAS standard, should be consistent with state systems

  • Bev: Need to define and distinguish telemedicine vs telehealth

  • Bev: State issued ID card, Tom working on it as an alternate use case

  • Bev/Sal: non state issued ID, IDs with no photos

  • Bev: How is AAMVA dealing with fraud. Tom will ask.

  • RealID Act requires a photo and digital signatures.
